Local note reports Jack Killiter returning to Oxbow from a brief time away at Ida District and Grandy visiting relatives. It mentions his enlistment in the 152nd battalion and his service in trenches overseas to defend the Empire, with plans to reunite with family and support his mother at home.
The anniversary of St Pauls Presbyterian Church is set for Sunday October 2nd with Rev. Mr McLennon of Frobisher preaching both morning and evening. McLennon is described as a powerful preacher and the event will include a district gathering with a social program after services.
Bills prepare for a credit auction of farm stock at John Cartwrights farm buildings eight miles southeast of Oxbow and six miles southwest of Glen Ewen. The sale is set for Tuesday November 6 with usual terms and an accompanying note about a power washing machine and attached engine. Auctioneers are W J Lang and Eph McIlmoyl.
