Palestine Methodist opens new Rete church with dedication
The Palestine Methodist Church held opening services on November 21 with a full congregation and a dedicatory ceremony. Rev. Dr. Young was honored on leaving for the west while Rev. McHaffie led sermons and baptisms. A generous building fund drive reached $2,000 toward a total cost near $2,500 as expenses and gifts from local trustees, Ladies Aid, and contributors supported the new pew church.
