A Sunday interfaith gathering reflected on the war’s end and urged the Peace Conference to secure permanent peace. Speakers cited international and internal changes needed and praised soldiers’ sacrifices. An offering of $4000 was raised for the Red Cross.
After Thankegiving, the Methodist and Presbyterian groups discussed uniting for winter services. A standing vote left only about six members absent. Committees will arrange services and costs. Rev. Russell preaches Sunday at 11 p.m. and Rev. Davis at 7 p.m. Sunday school meets at 2:15 p.m.

Word reached Oe Bunday that Percy JH Tripp died after a serious illness. J P Tripp rushed to his bedside. A message from Oxbow Monday morning confirmed the death. Mr and Mrs John T McCay learned Tuesday of the sudden death of Mrs W B Mc Mire. McCellum died at home on Monday after severe illness. The Herald extends sympathy to the grieving relatives.
