Saskatchewan Grain Growers Association delegates from across the province convened in Regina for their fourteenth annual meeting. President J A Meharg lauded rapid growth, pressed for cooperative purchasing, and urged unity to secure favorable government policy amid wartime pressures and economic challenges.
The accused was charged by Corporal Richards with stealing an iron grey mare from William Botham near Oxbow. He was traced from George Jarvis farm to Tilston and Sinclair, then traded the horse for a bay horse and gear before trading again for money and a shotgun. He confessed, expressed regret, and was committed for trial to a Regina court while being held in Antler. later the foxhole of English Church notices appeared for Lent services.
Union Bank of Canada urges customers to build a reserve fund with deposits at the bank. It notes salaries may not cover expenses and encourages depositing any amount from one dollar, with interest on balance. Oxbow branch manager A E Ivey endorses the plan.
