Hay Field Co operative Train Heads to Swan River District
A 23 car train loaded with about 200 horses and as many people departs Alameda and Giles Ewen for Oxbow to reach a northern Manitoba hay meadow. Led by Arnold Staples with J H Noble and others backing the project, the convoy aims to begin haying within days after a 30 mile overland trek. City officials plan a civic welcome for the Oxbow hay makers.
