Explosion at Macoun Gas Plant Devastates Hotel
Acetylene gas explosion at noon wrecks the Macoun hotel, kills several guests and workers, and sparks a blaze that devastated the building. Rescue efforts were hampered by flames. 8 injured, list of dead expected to rise to about 19 to 30. Victims include Mrs Hochhaus and hotel staff. The accident occurred during dinner hour at Macoun Saskatchewan April 20.
