Outlook Tax Rate 34 Mills Fixed by Council
At Monday night’s council meeting a bylaw fixed the 1918 tax rate at 34 mills on the dollar. The rate allocates to municipal purposes 12 mills for school purposes 10 mills and for public revenue or patriotic purposes 2 mills. Last year’s total rate was 37 mills, and with a 10 percent reduction in assessment on all lots the current taxation will be somewhat lower than last year.
