Wadsworth galfern*About 2:30 Tuesday morning, a fire broke out in a vacant house in Chinatown, at Wadsworth, and spread very rapidly. Before it was conquered, it burned the residence of Frank Lorangers, J. F. George,M. Raphael and Leivrp, all ofChinatown and 250 feet of the Central Pacific Railroad cattle corral. M. Raphael's store withstood the fire, but was damaged bv heat and water more or less. Nearly all saved their household goods. It is reported that one Chinaman was burned up, but the report is not generally believed. It is thought that the’flre was started by Indians. For a time the whole ot the town west of the freight house, was In danger, but the wind changed to the north and drove back the Are, so that Capt. Geo. Gregg, with his water department, got the flames checked.
