The Lordsburg Ladies Golf Association hosted the coffee, tea and sweets concession at the fair grounds during the fair. Emaline Baxter, Fay and Alene Buvens opened the concession Friday morning and were relieved during day by Millie Smith, Ella Brown, Mary Dockum, Ruby Warren, Vangie Fuller and June Dunagan. Saturday morning, Lori Saucier, Alene and Fay Buvene put on the coffee pot and started another day. Phyllis McCutchan arrived with great enthusiasm as she was going to promote ticket sales for our handmade crocheted table cloth donated by Mary Gay, only to learn that on the prior day, Mary Dockum had already sold ‘everyone’ at the fair a ticket. Susie Kimbley and Louise Mor gan also were hard workers. We ladies also thank Dick Dockum, Dave Warren, Jack Morgan, Gilbert Buvens, and a couple of hard working boys, Allan Buvens and David Diaz for their help.
