Alpha Upsilon Chapter of E.S.A. Sorority got its sorority year underway with a pot-luck dinner held on Aug. 25 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Deer man. The members and guests enjoyed an evening of feasting and relaxing. Those in attendance were; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Deerman, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dunlap, Mr. and Mrs. Art Malott, Mr. and Mrs. Jim McCutchan, Mr. and Mrs. Don Humphrey, Ms. Biller Dolen, Earl Ward, Hope McLean. The sorority held its reg ular business meeting on September 11, in the home of Phyllis McCutchan. President Betty Dunlap called the meeting to order. The minutes of the last meeting were read by Har riet Malott, secretary, after which, Hazel Amis gave the treasurer’s report. usiness progress com mittee chairpersons were appointed and plans were made for several different events to take place during the coming year. The chapter also decided to sell pecans and have a rummage sale. The rum mage sale is to take place on October 6, at the Art Malott home. After the business was over the meeting was adjourned and refresh ments were served by the hostess. The next meeting will be held on Sept. 25, at the home of Betty Dunlap. Couple Visits Mr. and Mrs. Alex Joe Salaiz of Covina, California and Mrs. Manuela Lagasti of El Paso, Texas were in Lordsburg September 1 visiting relatives and friends. While here they attended the wedding of Connie and Louie Haisa.
