103-year-old ClearfieldresidentMary AllisonMary E. Allison, 103, of Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield, and formerly of Decatur Village, Philipsburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at the center.Born Nov. 5, 1905, atWalltown, she was a daughter of the late Hiram Hubert and Roseanna Rebecca (Conway) Baumgardner.She was a seamstress at the former McGregor Sportswear, Curwensville.She was of the ProtestantMary was a gracious person and had a gentle soul.She will be remembered for her love of music and beautiful voice.She was first wed in 1924 at Salamanca, N.Y., to Nicholas Jovich, who passed away in 1941. Then in 1958 atClearfield, she wed John Allison, who passed away in 1972.She is survived by five children, Jack Jovich of Youngstown, Ohio, Mark Jovicn of Curwensville, Mary Ann Matie and her husband, Carl, of Warren, Sue Roland of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Grace Crompton and her husband, Mark, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Donna English and her husband, Jim, of Morrisdale.She was the last of her generation.In addition to her two husbands, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; three infant children, Ivy, Max and Bonnie Jovich; two grandsons; and three brothers,A memorial service will be held at David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, on Friday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Timothy D.
