MRS. LOIS WHEELER DEAD.Mrs. Lois Wheeler died at her home *n Clay township Monday afternoon about 4 o'clock after an illness of several years, aged 86 years and 11 months. Mrs. Wheeler came with her husband to Hardin county nearly fifty years ago from New York state, where they were married in 1841. After coming to Iowa the couple settled on the farm in Clay township, which has been the family home ever since. Mr. Wheeler died in 1861. There are four children living—Mrs. Amelia. Rumbo, Roland and Morris Wheeler and Miss Emma, who has always made her home with her mother. Thus with the death of this good woman another of the early pioneers of Hardin county has gone to that bourne from which no traveler e'er returns and whose portals we call death. The funeral services will be held this afternoon from the home, conducted by Rev. Stanley. The interment will be in the Eldora cemetery.
