A letter was received from the Mayor enclosing a communication from the Board of Health in relation to a • rim! 1 pox hospital; which communication having be«n read, Mr. Mivgruder introduced a bill making the ncccaaary appropriation, which a a* read three tin tea and passed. The bill from the board of common council, providing for the paving the centre* of gutter* a ith brick, vu passed. The remainder of the aeaaion of thi» board waa occupied in the comidcrmtion of private bill*.In the board of common council, Ute bill from the aldermen appropriating g 1/200 for the purchaaeof an engin* lor the uae of the Northern Liberty Fire company, waa taken up, read three time*, and passed. The hill reported from the committee on the fire department, appropriating gOO each forth. L'niun* Franklin, Perseverance, Columbia, and An-a. ostia fire companies, for the repair* of npparatua. waa then taken up. read three times, and paaaed.
