The latter is president of the Cincinnati Federal Savings Loan Association, 4310 Glenway Ave., and vice-chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. He recently was appointed in charge of fund promotion by the founding co-chairmen of the Stadium F u nd—attorneysGeorge C. Eyrich and Powell McHenry. v The Stadium Committee was organized last fall under the Eyrich-Me Henry leadership and with the continuing cooperation of the School administration and a number of School alumni. The Committee has decided to campaign for funds to develop a 3,000-seat stadium on the large practice field opposite the School for home football, baseball and track competitions. For lack of an on-site facility, the Mustangs football teams have been playinggames at the Elder High stadiumsince 1967 and previously at Trechter Stadium.Architect Contributes Mr, R e u sing h a p p i I y announced a t the PTA meeting last week that the latest donations have brought up the StadiQm fund total to about $6,900. He said this is well beyond 10 percent of the$60,00lt;FgoaJ:.He added that $60,000 has been estimated by Bruce Schweninger, an architect forGeorge F. Schatz and Associates, to be the minimum budget needed to build the 3,000-seat gallery. Also a graduate of West High, Mr. Schweninger has contributed to the fund his work on the architectural design and specifications, which would have cost about 3*4,200.Helping to attain the 10-percent level of the goal is a $1,000 d o nation from the Cheviot-Wes twood Kiwanis Club under President RalphAmbrosius.Reusing Gives Press Boxcommendable modesty, Mr. Reusing also stated at the PTA microphone that “the $2,400 cost of the stadium press box has been underwritten by a sponsor”. Inquiry after the meeting with another spokesmanrevealed that the $2,400 is being contributed by Mr. Reusing, himself!Reusing further reported that still another sponsor is virtually acquired for much ofthe $2,4 00 cost of thescoreboard. The balance of cost will be financed by the West High Student Council. It is a proud matter with Mr. Reusing that his son, William R. Reusing, is president of the West High Boosters Club and was the official who personally presented that group’s $50 check to him as the Stadium Fund’s financial chairman. William is a 1958 alumnus of the School and now is secretary of the Cincinnati Federal SL and president-elect of the CincinnatiSavings Loan Institute.Boosters Plan More Aid“Bill”, as the latter is called, later mentioned that his Boosters Club had donated the entire $310 in proceeds from its own benefit program, last April at which a fishing boat was the grand prize. The boat was and donated by the School’s woodworking shop class under teacher Vic Gausman. The Boosters now also pla'n .to donate to the fund all proceeds from another benefit program at its annual community spaghetti supper next Jan. 24.The elder Mr. Reusing said that he is working through Arch D. McCartney, the School’s first athletic director in 1928-54, to make a contact in each of the School’s past 41 graduating classes for class donations to thefund.Anyone interested in working on the Stadium Fund Committee is invited to contact Charles W.
