Froiu an investigation into the case, it appeared that the thirteen Chinese acrobat* art* under an arrangement with Seeback, and l hat the Fakir has secured the services of the lour jugglers for the period of one year, they Innd-iling themselves hy mutual contract. Seeback and the Fukir had combined the Celestial forces, and were to share die proceeds of the performances.On the settlement of their pecuniary utfuirs on Sunday, after the week’s exhibition, Seeback churned certain moneys as due to him on a fair division of the profits, which the Fukir resisted, and hence the issue before the magistrate. Justice 1 louii and D. Kalehlle, Esq., became arbiters, and, urter hearing both sides, and considerable lig-tiring, decided that the Fakir, instead of being two hundred dollars in debt to Seeback, owed him only sixly-iiiuc cents. The creditor was, howcvey, dissaihUM'd. and refused to pocket the uward.,making it a present to olttccr Kimball.The p triiership between Seeback and the Fakir is dissoitcd. The former said thut he intended to take lus part of the celestials to New York forthwith.And then another ease was taken up. The four Celestials under contract with the Fukir, who were in conn—including tlm duo who performs the ainpulciiicni —came forward, und, through the interpreter, (u native of China.) charged thut the Fakir owed them sundry balances. The result was that the Fakir settled their bills, to the amount of sixty dollars, an amount with which they were not altogether sutisticd.It is suid that these four Chinese refuse to go further south with the Fakir, being apprehensive that if they should proceed to lluvuua they may be captured and sold into slavery us “ coolies.”
