Lt. Lannes Hope recently won a battlefield promotion from se cond lieutenant to the rank of first lieutenant, somewhere in Germany, according to word re ceived here this week by his wife, the former Miss Peggy Durham. Lt. Hope, who was in the first group of tanks to enter Paris, has been in the Aachen, Germany BORIS the 745th Tank Battalion, at tached to General Hodge's First American Army. He has been overseas for about a year.
