The coal from this mine has been used in various parts of Texas during the few months the mine has been in operation. By many it is pronounced to be the best eoal found in Texas. The eoal crops out on the side of the hill and from this out-cropping the mine enters the the hilL It U only twelve to fifteen feet to the ooal and the management desires to v»« the stripped stripped mine method of operation.In talking with Mr. Johnson, the manager of the mine, we learn that he is in need of additional capital to put his plans into execution. One of the best propositions to be found any where is at Loving. The coal is a vc-ry fine grade and could be obtained by stripping much faster and cheaper than the present method of tunneling under the ground, but Mr. Johnson does not have enough capital at hisj disposal to put in the needed machinery for stripping. He would be glad to get in touch with any one interested in his proposition. He would be glad to call on any one and would take pleasure in showing the mine and the results of his tests in that section to any one with capital to invest.Everyone who has used the coal here is well pleased with it and j factor would be glad for Mr. Johnson to se- Prairi cure the needed capital.
