A dispatch in Monday's paper fromAdel, tells the story as follows: Anattempt to ruin the reputation of Julia George bv her husband. Baxter George, and Steven Harris, a young attorney-at-law, was laid bare Saturday. The facts were reviewed when a special committee appointed by Judge Applegate filed a report at the county court house. This committeeis composed of t\ S. Barr, T. R. North and H. G. Giddings, prominent members of the Dallas county bar. By this report the husband and the attorney are Implicated in a conspiracy which promises to debar the attorney and send both men to the penitentiary.A Des Moines detective, Tony Bis-ley, and “Laura,” a woman of the Des Moines slums are implicated.Julia George commenced suit for divorce and alimony and Baxter filed a cross bill. He was unable to furnish the necessary proof for his allegations. The Des Moines detective and women were called to assist in creatine spurious evidence. Severalsensational attempts were made to compromise Mrs. George hut without avail. The efforts made have stirredup all kinds of excitement. Mrs.George has been granted a divorce with $3,000 alimony.
