HENRY IV 2 Jane Any. visitors to the school last Wednesday might have sworn that they were in the middle of the thirteenth century. The blasting of trumpets and the calling of alarms during the afternoon made one wonder just what was going on. Actually it was a presentation of the play Henry IV by the 12B special class. The students of this class worked hard and came out with fabulous results. The whole school building rocked with laughter during the performance. Characters of the play were as follows: King Henry - Phil Dupuis, Prince Hal- John i Falstaff - Gerry den. Hotspur - Jim Lee.” Blunt - Bob Browne. Douglas = John McGeachie. Worcester - George Wallis. Lancaster - Garry Dobbie. Vernon - Collin Gould. Guards : Sally Dick, Sharon Britton, Trees - Cavelle Marshall, Reebeen Hotchen, Lynne Roy, Marlene Heisler. The story was about the strug between the Percy’s and the lantagenets for the honor of the throne. The dramatic effects produced by the 12B class kept everyone in stitches. Under the direction of Miss Vandergrift, the play was a grand success. Futher ventures of this kind are encouraged to increase school spirit. A talk given by Gerry Ocken den after the performance should give all the students initiative to do something of this sort. Pep Rally? There are rumors of a pep rally in the month of December. The, PR. Club and the chearlead ers are getting topatbox to oak heam. Purpose of this event is to promote school spirit at games. Canadian Citizens Test Last week each student re ceived the Canadian Citizens Test No. one. A university pro fessor had given this test to un iversity students and was shock ed at the results. As yet results haven't been announced. Some questions on the test were: Who wrote “People of the Deer,” “What special event hap pened in Ontario on October 17”, and “Draw a sketch map of Can ada,” Table Tennis Tournament If enough interest is shown a table tennis tournament will be held at the school. If you would like to enter put your name on the list outside of room 9, Remembrance Service A service was held at the school last Friday in observance of Remembrance Day. Guest speaker at the service was the Reverend R.L. MacMurray. Cracked dishes. If the cracks are met too deep, you can prob ably make them invisible by boil ing the dish in sweet milk for about an hour, over low heat. This is often a wonderful way to keep intact pieces that are hard to replace. “I KNOW NOTHING, nothing” could be the words of Bob Radford as he falls victim to the accusing fingers of Jim Cooney cand.Bill Semenec:--Actually—they are just goofing around at the coffeehouse.
