Henry IV play thrills 12B class at school
Visitors to the school last Wednesday watched 12B special class stage Henry IV. The performance, directed by Miss Vandergrift, drew laughs and cheers as students portrayed Henry, Hal, Falstaff, Hotspur and others. Remembrance Day service featured Rev. R L MacMurray.

Girls Volleyball Program At Acton District High School
Liz Atkey and Sandi Slingerl supervise a girls sports program at Acton District High School each Monday and Wednesday evening. Grade seven and eight groups meet seven to eight fifteen p.m. with different schools sharing the schedule. Skills in volleyball are taught with basketball and badminton planned. a grand tournament will crown champions as turnout remains strong.

Scout Invests Glen Lee First Fall Badge Recipient
Scout News reports Glen Lee was invested as a Scout at a special ceremony the first to receive this badge this fall. Dale Gartley from the Department of Lands and Forests spoke at the Hespeler HQ meeting about forest management adoption and department help for landowners. The group viewed a color film on forest harvesting and conservation and planned to prepare forest conservationist badge requirements for scouts. A Bruce Trail hike from Silvercreek to Terra Cotta Conservation grounds yielded scenic views and caves with a rough final stretch and one big blister as the only casualty.
