Rabbi W. A. Mathew, Chief Rabbi of the Ethiopian Hebrew Congregation in the Western He misphere and Spiritual Leader of the Commandment Keepers Con gregation in New York City will discuss THE Black Jew, as the topic of the program scheduled for Monday, November 17, 1969 8:30 PM at Sinai Congregation, Maple Avenue, Hillside. Rabbi Mathew graduated from the University of Berlin, study ing Anthropology and Sociology and the Hebrew Union Theologi cal Seminary in C jati, Ohio. His background includes exten sive lecturing at universities, ‘colleges, organizations and reli gious institutions throughout the United States and Canada. Rabbi Mathew will discuss the composition of the Black Jew ish Community of Falasha Jews, their training, degree of ortho doxy and problems peculiar to them as,a group as well as their relationship to the Black Commu nity and to the White Jewish Com munity, and will answer questions from the audience.
