A bridal shower for Miss Lor raine D. Beaulieu in honor of her approaching marriage to Roger A. Brown, November 24, was held at the home of Mrs. Jo seph L. Beaulieu, 39 Elm street, Biddeford. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Regina Martin, Mrs. Mari e Pelletier and Mrs. Jeanie Mor risson. Miss Beaulieu's trousseau was displayed by her cousin, Mrs. Re gina Martin. Guests attending were Mrs. Dorothy Kouzounas, Mrs. Ella McKenny, Mrs. Minnie Adams, Mr s Regina Martin, Mrs. Gene vieve Nadeau, Mrs. Dorothy Le May, Mrs. Margaret Clark, Mrs. Aline Parcher, Mrs. Priscille Morin, Mrs. Jeanie Provencher, Mrs. Annette Paquette, Mrs. Rita Bill, Mrs. Lillian Dupont, Mrs. George Remillard, Mrs. Carol Cyr, Mrs. Elsie Brandt and Mrs. Cyprian Martin. Also Misses Frances Brown, Mary Berube, Dorothy Turgeon, Marie Kouzounas, Debbie Morri son, Marie Clark, Marie Proven cher, Kevin Burke and Harry Adams. Invited but unable to attend were, Mrs. Cecile Huppe, Mrs. Florence Gagnon, Mrs. Albert Fecteau Sr., Mrs. Theresa Gau dette, Mrs. Rachel Lemilin, Mrs. Robert Nanteil, Mrs. Pauline Huppe and Mrs. Patricia Le vesque Misses Rosalie Pelletier, Jacqueline Berube, Priscille Guertin and Simonne Nadeau. Miss Beaulieu was a guest at three miscellaneous showers, one given by her cousin, Mrs. Regina Martin, another by her aunt, Mrs. Ella McKenny of Saco and a shower at Danna Hall, Portland, given by the Fifth U.S. Inf. Reg. Assn, auxiliary, of which Miss Beaulieu is president. Bituminous coal mining in the United States is more than 90 per cent mechanized.
