Osterhou t in -charge of the service at the grave,Mr. Thornton was born- in 1843 inClarke Town,ship, (being tihe only son of the late John Thornton tand Eliza | ? Powers, two old pioneer families. Mr. Thornton was married to Delia Whaley, of Broekville, and forty eight d years ago they moved from Clarke n Township to Woodstock where his | a wife died. Mr. Thornton then moved to Ooluihbus, Ohio, where he was | ^ married a second time.ISiurviving are three sons and one daughter.
