FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SUN DAY AND REMAINS BURIED IN BECK CEMETERY Louis H. Kind, 84, resident of the ‘Beck community since 1911, passed a way Friday at the Columbus hospital in Great Falls where he had been a patient for 24 hours. Death was due to a complication of diseases in the kid neys and bladder. The aged man was born at Sheboy gan, Wis., June 30, 1851, and would have been 85 on his next birthday. As a child he went with his parents into Minnesota and there grew to man hood and was married. In 1911 he moved his family to Teton county, buying a relinquishment on a home stead in the Beck community. Here he made his home until the time of his fatal illiness. By trade Mr. Kind was a cooper and carpenter, and he followed it somewhat after taking up farming in the county. On January 16, 1880, he was united in marriage to Miss Augusta Lietz, and nine children were born to the union of whom six are living. They are Mrs. Wm. Asmus of Power, Mrs. Math Schaefer of Power, Mrs. Chas. Blackenburg of Kalispell, Henry and Theodore Kind of Kalispell, and Louis Kind, Jr., of Melrose, Minn. Other survivors are three brothers, Albert of Great Falls, George of Sauk Center, Minn., and three sisters, Mrs. Wm. Schwanke of Power, Mrs. Adolph Kuhnert of Power, and Mrs. Herman Barchenger of Fargo, N. D.. There are 26 grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the Immanuel cemetery at Beck be side the remains of his wife who pas sed away in Chateau in 1925. The first service was held at the chapel of the Merrill mortuary in Great Falls and was in charge of Rev. Huber: the second was at the Lutheran church in Power with the Sev. Mich ael officiating. All the children with the exception of Louis, Jr., were able to be present for the funeral. Six ne phews acted as pallbearers, being Leonard Kummer, Leonard Beck, John Kind, Irvine Kind, Fiwalt Kuh nert and Wm. Swanke. , The funeral was largely attended and the floral offerings numerous and beautiful.
