They were given a hearty welcome, and social chat held sway for a portion of the evening. After refreshments had been served, all repaired to the parlor and the bi ide-elect was bidden to accept her place near the front entrance, when suddenly she became conscious of a shower of carnations and May flowers immediately followed by a downpour of useful and dainty gifts, and looking to see from whence they came beheld a huge Japanese umbrella being held above her. The gifts included most everything from the handy little mouse trap and Happy Hooligan to a serviceable bread box containing a package of yeast foam. The “Fortune Cake” was then brought into view, which when cut by the bride-elect was passed to the guests, and though each glanced closely for the portion containing the coveted ring, Miss Alberta Desmond was the fortunate one, and the members of the Club are now looking forward to a like shower in the near future. After having spent an evening never to be forgotten, all departed for their homes, having been assured of as hearty a welcome in a home to be established in Freeport as was tendered on last evening.T Koc Dub Thu the J. t Rev the tem whi of t A supaforreluthe:Mr,ginthuTyiu1takFriexidmlycloIIItillapItmivaleftoerisi:ellt;vedratwotieleoiwe:el
