Village officials are considering a proposal to purchase the aban doned 1.0.C.F. Cemetery, submitted to Council by trustees of the lodge. A price of $6,000 is asked by the lodge for the five acre tract. In addition, the village would assume the $4000 cost of moving the 43 bodies still buried in the cemetery. Council previously had sought to buy a halfacre plot of the cemetery as a site for a pro posed sewage disposal plant. Some officials have proposed adding the entire cemetery to Riverside Park, which adjoins it and is owned by the village. Other officials have suggested using the greater part of the cemetery tract as a site for a new high school build ing. No method of financing the purchase has been decided upon. Bordering the Little Miami River, the cemetery was abandon ed more than 40 years ago when further burials within the village limits were forbidden. Most of the bodies already have been removed. Among the remaining graves is that of the late John Kugler, prominent Milford in dustrialist and merchant of the Civil War era. About 20 years ago, the village attempted to acquire the cem etery for park purposes , through condemnation proceedings, but lost the case in the county courts. Wright A. Erion, Columbus, was the weekend guest of his sister, Mrs. Dora Herrman, and his brother, Rad Erion, Mrs. Maud Me, returned home Saturday after a trip which took her to Mexico.
