A HEAD ON COLLISION AT 16:45 A.M. SUNDAY, ABOUT 7 MILES WEST OF GROUNDBIRCH ON THE HART HIGHWAY SENT ALL THE OCCUPANTS OF BOTH VEHICLES TO HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT OF INJURIES. Mr. Paul Demerlem eester,alone in a 1963 dodge pick up,collided head on with a 1963 Meteor station wagon driven by George Rodgers and US passengers, Kay Inkman Frank Kowalski of Chetwynd. Rogers, an employee of B.C. Hydro in Chetwynd was pinned in his vehicle for some time and had to‘be released by jacks and cutters. His leg was badly broken just below the knee. Mr. Demeulemeester and the two passengers in the Station wagon were shaken up and received bruises and minor injuries. Blowing snow and poor visibility are given as the cause of the accident. Both vehicles were al most totally demolished in the crash. Gonstable Ray Kielen of the Chetwynd, RCMP Det achment and the Highway Gat roll from Dawson Creek inv estigated the accident. No charges have been laid. Ambulance from Dawson Creek took Rogers to the Dawson Creek Hospital while the other injured were tran sported by cer.
