The Columbus Sentinel of 11th inst. says:— A fine looking body of mounted troops, a part of the command ofMnj. John H. Howard, intended for the protection of the south western frontier of this State passed through Columbus yesterday, on their way to Bryant’s Ferry, the point of rendezvous, as we understand, for the troops destined to that service.
