U tf lcrufrom the Al'on Telegraph that a d*ht happened at Fosterburg, ill this county,eu the 3d instant, resulting u the death of Frederick Miller, a German, and that Joseph Arlmckle, a coluied man, was murdcted after being a. rested fur tho killing ot Miller. The scene of the light w*a at a sale, and the parties were bidding on a horse. The colored man wanting the horse, and probably having more limney than the white rnfii, they ft he white men) concluded ta drive the “nigger” away, and pitched into’’ him accordingly. *Th* negro itotM np for hit rights a j short tune, knocking three of them down; and j then seeing he would get the worst of the bargain, started and ran. He ran about a quarter „f a mile, and, giving out, turned upon those who were pursuing him with axes, shovels and forks, and fired, killing Miller aud wounding another man (an Irishman) dangerously. The pursuing party then closed in, arrested the negro, and beat and pounded him so severely that he'has since died, llo was knocked down aud stamped upon by three or four men until the blood gushed from his nose and ears. From the verdict of the jury rendered at the inquest held over the body of Arbuckle, it looks as though a combination had been formed for the purpoje of keeping back the facts iu the case. We trust the grand jury will feel called upon to make a searching inquiry iuto the whole of this affair, and that the guilty parties shall be made to suffer the penalty of tho law. ttelow wo give theverdict of the jury:We, the Jury summoned by P.
