Mayfield Student Wins High HonorIn a spirited contest held in the : hoolhoiiso ni May field Iasi Friday night, Miss. Mary Olsen a sophomore in High School won the medali*l1Yi *'d iii oratory l»y Carl Frisch knecht, principal of the school.This contest, being the first of its kind ever held in Mayfield, attractedmuch attention. Competition was very keen in the preliminary as well as in the final contest.Miss Olsen’s subject was: Loyalty/' Her selection of material arrangement. and presentation was of a high order as was that of the other contestants. Others who won the right to participate in the finals and who did themselves honor were: .Miss Helen Christianson whose subject was, “Mother, and A led a Micke-alson who spoke on the subject of,“Our Moral Development.'*After the contest the high schoolstudents presented two one-act plays which were very well received bythe parents.
