MRS. MARIA HAGER.Mrs. Maria Hager, nee Affolter, of Essig, died Wednesday, February 25, at about 8 o’clock in the morning. The deceased had been ill for almost three years and her demise came as the result of a hemorrhage.Mrs. Hager was born in Will county, 111., December 21, 1862. Shortly before her marriage she came to Minnesota and was married here in New Ulm to Fred Hager, in 1880. The eight children born to them are all living. They resided in New Ulm until about three years ago when the family moved to Essig. The names and residences of the children are as follows: Mrs. Frank Marti, Milford; Mrs. Herm. Dobke, West Newton; Mrs. Ernest Hermerding, New Ulm: Mrs. C. V. Schmitt, Minneapolis; Mrs. L. K. Hankel, Chinook, Mont.; Fred Hager, New Ulm, and William and Elsie at home. The deceased is also survived by one sister and three brothers, as follows: Mrs. Sarah Waswell, Gray Eagle; John Affolter, New Ulm; Fritz and Frank Affolter, Waseca.Funeral services were held at the local St. Paul’s Lutheran church on Saturday, February 28, at 2:30 o’clock, and interment was made in the local Lutheran cemetery, Prof. A.
