Three Pine brothers will become Eagle Scouts during a special Honor Court Sunday at 7 p.m. in the special services room at Pine Elementary School. Lee, Denny and Dareld Hunsaker, all members of Pine’s Troop 652, will also receive special merit badges and awards from Scout Master E. L. Bonderant. The Eagle Scout award is the one thought fills immensity. William Blake True humor springs not more from the head than from the heart; it is not contempt, its essence is love; it issues not in laughter, but in still smiles, which lie far deeper. It is a sort of inverse sublimity, exalting, as it were, into our affections what is below us, while sublimity draws down into our affections what is above us. Thomas Carlyle highest plateau of achievement in the Boy Scout program and is difficult to reach. Bonderant said it is not common for a troop to have even one Eagle Scout, so the brothers’ achievement is very unusual. Bonderant said the public is invited to attend the special Honor Court. Editor’s note: The Bobbin Winder called Tuesday to tell us he had caught Pauper in the chicken house and he now has a white stripe down his back. Winder said Pauper is now in the custody of the Payson Humane Society. Now and again, I drop the CB mags for other books. During this last week, I acquired Total Self Knowledge by Dr. Ernest Dichter, Stein and Day, copy, 1976. The book is a myriad of tests on human intelligence. Needless to say, after many hours, I finished the question-answer schemes and it was as I suspected, I am made of unquestionable and unchallengeable intelligence. I found the book a bit lacking due to my ability to out-think its potential ends and thereby beat all tests. Ah well, so much for a bored CB reporter such as myself who has to stoop to childish games. Between yawns, I discovered through my dependable grapevine, that the Rim Country Radio Club is planning a poster contest hereabouts. Rules to be that one must draw a picture of me and turn it in at the next regular meeting. How interesting! But alas. None of you will be able to capture my good looks, no matter how you try, on canvas or matchbook cover. But hand in your scribblings, who knows? The Bobbin- Winder might have a can of beans or kitty food for the best try. However, I must warn that the poster published later in the OTHER newspaper must be artistic and come within tossing range of how I look, else .I will come to the jamboree and stomp the funny CB buttons worn on vests and chests. No insulting pictures if you please.
