2 D. C. Women Are ElectedTwo Washington women have been elected to national office in the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. They are Mrs. Annalee Stewart and Miss Bertha McNeill, both named to vice presidential posts.Mrs. Elsie L. Picon of Detroit is the new national president.The elections took place at the league’s annual meeting and institute held at Cazenovia. N. Y.. last week. Discussions were focused on President Truman’s Point Four program for technical assistance to underdeveloped areas of the world.
