It was*then propos ed that they should settle ii by ■game of croquet. The game resultei in victory for Mias Park. Jac Foulks, being Miss Ackley’s backei very magnanimously agreed to pa the forfeit. There was an attendanc •of about 100. • Everything passed o 8pieucl idly and every one seemed we! pleased and satisfied.
