Committee of Colonel Sellers and City Manager Appointed to Arrange Details; to Select Site Today, Albuquerque is to have some form of celebration on July 4 The county council of defense which is pushing the celebration for Albuquerque, yes terday appointed a committee con sisting of Col. D. K. B Sellers as chairman and City Manager Paul Redington to arrange for the details of the celebration. The committee, together with Col. Alfred Grunsfeld, chairman of the general committee of the council of defense, and George Roslington will make a tour of the city by automobile this morning with a view of selecting an appropriate site for the Fourth of July exercises. The county council of defense is arranging for the celebration at the request of the council of national de fense, which is asking that all citizens of America join in commemorating the day not only as one of national freedom but of universal freedom. Although no plans have been defi nitely laid for the celebration, it is likely that the exercises will consist mainly of patriotic speeches, instru mental music and community singing. It has been suggested, too, that the affair be held out of doors, Univer sity bill has been suggested as a proper poirce. The committee will endeavor — to have all societies and organizations, as well as all individuals not belong ing to organizations, attend.
