Holy Cross Polish church was dedi cated yesterday with impressive cere monies, members of the clergy from this and other cities, presided. The Holy Cross societies, four in number, participated in the exercises. Also those from St. Joseph’s ‘Austrian, St John’s Aterman Catholic and Sts. Cyrill and Methodius Slavonic societies from South Chicago and Lemont were also present. : Imposing Parade: Atsean to Holy .Crass societies gathered_at_the church. At 8:20 they divided, two marching to the Austrian and Slavonic churches and two to the German, church. The first division, af ter meeting the societies from the labove-named churches,marched down town, headed by the Slavonic band. It ‘was joined by the’ second division, headed by the Steel Works band, and accompanied_by ‘the German societies, “at the Santa Fe depot. _ Here they com bined and received the Lemont delega tion, numbering about 630 people, which came by special train. It was accom panied by the Lemont band. The Rocky Island depot was next vis ited and the South Chicago delegation was received. It also brought a band and numbered about 225 people, com ing from—the Church of Immaculate Conception. The marchers, which by this time had gained considerable proportions, moved to the Chicago and Alton depot where they met Bishop Muldoon who arrived at 1:1. He was accompanied by Father New Yorks, also of Chicago. The march back to the church was then taken up. It was one of the largest parades ever witnessed in this city. , Exercises at the Church. The exercises opened “at 11:20 o'clock and at, noon pass” was Father Wajtaiewies, or ‘Father Pelycarp, of the church, officiated as deacon; Chylewski, of Milwaukee,as - con; Father Hauser, of St. MM master of ceremonies, and Dean Dw of St. Patrick’s,as chan . Father Nowrocki, of Chicagoy érs Wojtalewicz and Rhode, of Chicago; Father Chylewski, of, if kee, and Father Truszynski, om were among the visitors.
