Davis , Co., near the corner of Droadway ami Court streets, wm destroyed by fire this afternoon. The loss is heavy, lint is partially covered by insurance.The Miami canal broke near this city last night, unlt;( will be repaired in three days.The weather is hot, but the health of the city continues good. The cholera, ship fever, c., are prevailing among the emigrants on the river from New Orleans.The Cholera.MAYsviLLB, June H.The cholera broke out at this place on Sunday. Since then there have been twenty-six cases and twenty deaths, and four others arc not expected to live. All the deaths but one Occurred on half a square on Second, between Short and Lowersts. Outside of this locality but three eases occurred, and only one of them proved fatal. Amongthedead ire Mrs. Husk ami her three daughters; and three other chidren of the same family are down, two of whom will probably die. The father is absent.The deaths in proportion to the cases are perhaps without :i precedent. There have been no new cases to-day, nud we are hoping the worst is over.
