ANDREW D. BARRAfter a Long* Continued Illness He Passes Away Saturday Evening at His Home.Saturday evening at nine o’clock at his home Andrew D. Barr closed his earthly career. For several years he was an invalid, and a part of the time his struggle to sustain life was a desperate one. Sometimes during that long period he was hardly able to support his own weight. At times he grew better and then would fall back into his weakened condition again. But he made his fight for life with great fortitude and was generally in a hopeful frame of mind.Mr, Barr was a man of strong convictions for what he deemed right and just. He was a good neighbor, his word on business matters being as good as his bond. He was a kind father and a loving husband.Andrew Duncan Barr was born in Mercer county Penn., September 20th 1857, He came to Fayette county, Iowa, with his parents when he was two years old and lived there till he grew to manhood. At the age oftwenty-two, when in the full vigor of life, he came to this*comity. He married Miss Helen EUza.betli Blanchard October 24th 1883. Three children were born*to this union. They are now Mrs. Mabel Selma Morgan of Pueblo, Colorado; Mrs. Edith. CeloraMatson of Whittemore and John, sixteen years of age at home. December 28th 1895 Mrs. Helen 33. Barr passed away. June 14th 1898 Mr. Barr was united in marriage to Anna Hetrick Everett, who survives to mourn his loss. 'Mr. Barr leaves one sister of Oel-wein, and four brothers—Dr. James Barr of Los Angeles; William of Oel-wein, Iowa; Thomas of Randalia, Iowa; and George of Bedfleld, S. D, The funeral was held from the M. E. church Tuesday afternoon, many neighbors and sympathizing friends being present, The impressive services were conducted by Rev, C, F, Spray, The interment was at River-Yiew cemetery,
