THOMPSONA link with the earlier days uf the Cape Hawk.- district was severed on Tuesday night, May 30. by the death of Mrs Gertrude Sarah Thompson, j much-respected resident of Forster, at the Bulahdduh Hospital.Mrs. Thompson had been a resident of the district for practically the whole of her life. Of a retiring disposition, her kindly, sympathetic nature, iier joy in others’ success, her deeds of kindness and her acta of grace endeared her to a very large circle of acquaintances. She was a foremost member of the Church ot England and was always interested in its activities.Deceased was n daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hardy and waa born at Nabloc on August 13. 1880.Her husband who was head sawyer for many years at Maxwell Porter's Sawmill, at Tuncurry, predeceased her about 16 years.Her surviving children are: Mrs. Milllken I Thelma). Newcastle; Mm. Tom Dooker iLillah), Cooongolook; and Mr. Aubrey Charles Thompson. Coolongolook Another son. Oscar, predeceased his mother.Surviving brothers and sisters are: Mr. J«‘*n Hardy. Fallford: Mr. Emcat Hardy. Mmlmbah. Mr. W. Hardy. Fonder. Mrs. W. Helton, senior. Forster. und Mm. M Engel.
