The children were all present at his bedside, he spoke comforting words to the family, medical aid was beyond avail. We soothed his fevered brow and as his pulse gradually weakened he went not alone.He lived in this vicinity practically all his life and assisted in clearing away the forests, thus contributing to the betterment of the community. He loved beautiful flowers, and seemed best to enjoy himself while going quietly about his home duties in Nature’s Garden. He was of a genial turn of mind, sociable, and loved his home and family and enjoyed most having his children and grandchildren in his home.His belief was in the faith and teaching of the doctrines of the Brethern (Dunkard) church having united with same a few years ago.Funeral services were conducted at the church at 10 a. m., Thursday by Rev. D. C. Campbell. Interment in Greenlawn cemetery near Darlington, The pall bearers were nephews of the deceased, Ira, Marion and Chesley Clouser, Marshall Hampton, Moses Riley and Marion Davis.
