Ageless Satchel Paige, the old pro of organized baseball, will pitch for the Havana Cuban Stars in an exhibition game Sunday night at the Lockport Athletic field. The Cubans will face the Cavallini team from Harvey in an 8 p.m. contest, Christened LeRoy Paige some where between 50 and 60 years ncw, “Old Satch has been mys tifying batters for the past 35 years, at least. His major league services in hicted the Cleveland Indians and ®aid St. Louis Browns, both un der general manager Bill Veeck, now of the Chicago White Sox. Paige's last job in organized base ball was with Miami in the class AAA International League. His Cuban teammates are a promising group of young stars, organized by Joe Cambria, former head scout for the Washington Senators. Now on their ninth coast-to-coast tour, the Cubans last season won 87 of 123 games. The Cavallini Restaurant squad has 10 former professional players on its roster, including Jerry Ja cobs, infielder, who was with the Baltimore Orioles; pitcher Mel Schroeder, formerly of the Kansas City farm system; infielder Ben Kozub, formerly of the Chicago Cubs farm system; and outfielder Tony Jacobbucl, at one time a member of the Milwaukee Braves farm system.
