Building of the second story on the brick stores corner of Richland avenue and Laurens street, will start at once, it is announced by contractor J. R. Stokes, who has been given the con tract by the owner, Charles L. Weeks. The new weper story will be 48 feet wide and 80 feet long. The corner space will be used by the Bell _ Tele phone company as Aiken headquarters. The lower stores will be occupied by the Henry N. Schroder grocery estab lishment, and probably by the new Osbon bakery in the second store from the corner. The contract was let for approximately $12,000.
