Curtis, wife of the superinendont of schools of Alton, 111 , was killed, and her son, aged 20, was perhaps fatally injured and both Mr. Curtis and a daughter, Margaret Anne, 8 years old, were both slightly injured when the automobile in whic h they were riding was struck by a west bound freight within half a block of the depot here.
