DavidIn a thrilled-packed double header played at Bulkley Stadium Sunday, the Traum Brewers and the Puerto Rican All-Stars split, what might be culled two ininand out games of suspense.The first game ended 7-2 invor of the Brewers only after a barrage of hits in the seventh and eighth innings, ably assisted by three costly errors chalked up by the all stars. Up to the seventh the score had been deadlocked at 1, but at the last of the sevenththree of the Tnaums, Kapura, Dixon and Banks collaborated with a walk and 2 singles respectively. Then a costly error by Grieia of the Stars allowed two more runs to make the scare 4-1. In this half of the 7th the star’s ace, Gri-connected with a double andcia,ashort-stop Santogers bounded hot Texas leaguer over third baseto add another score. This madethe score 4-2, In the eighth theTrauma got three more runs off a walk, a single and a home run by Curry with the score 7-2. The game ended in the first half of theninth when the All-Stars failed topush over a tally.The second was a thriller, with Santello pitching 1-hit ball to win 2-1 for Puerto Rico. Santellos, a master of control, appeared to have in his possession a no-hit game until big George Dixon of the Brewers smashed a double into right field in the last of the seventh. He scored when Smithwalked and a wild pitch by the All-Stars’ third baseman, Garcia,Dixon to score for the Trauma, iSan tell os walked one, struck out 17 and allowed 1 clean hit. His mound aprpcarance seems to show1 big league calibre.
