McCommlck, an Ohio man working with the Dawson Variety Mann-facturing Co., was living in one of Mrs. McNulty’s houses near the College, Mr. McNulty sold the house to Mr. O. V. Pace of Calhoun county, giving Mr. McCora-mick only a few days notice to get another house and move. He tried all over town to rent a house, but not a vacant one could be found. He at once bought a vacant lot from Mr. Hannah, and, by the ex piration of the few days of grace al lowed, had erected and moved Into hla own house. That la the kindof Immigrants we want In Terrell county.Four of the operatives of the Daw son Variety Manufacturing Co., have recently purchased lots and built residences of their own, and another has just commenced to build.. This shows that they are receiving good wages and are prospering. These works are of Incalculable benefit to our city and the proprietors should receive from our citizens oil the old and encouragement possible.There is a good opening here for other manufacturing enterprises. We should have a factory for barrels, tubs, palls, churns, axe handles, brooms and many other articles. A furniture factory would bea success here, there being anabundance of every kind of timber required or desired.Mr. J. M. Powell is easily satisfied with city life. He has rented the residence he occupied and the livery stables to Messrs. J. H.
