Previous to hisarrival here, Dr. Eisan taughtin the California public highschools.Dr. Eisan did his undergraduate work at LaVerne College, received his M.A. fromClaremont College; and finished by receiving his doctorate degree from the University of Chicago. All of his studies have been done in the fieldof history. Here at Hanover, Dr. Eisan teaches EuropeanHistory and the Great EpochsWHO ENJOYS HIS WORK. Dr. Lesliepoints to his favorite country. Cabinet work is aDr. Eisan is particularly interested in the history of Great Britain and Russia. Instudents when they do not tryparticular, he concentrates on the nineteenth century English history and Russian history up to 1917. In the fall of 1963, Dr. Eisan used his sabbatical leave to study nineteenth century English history at Indiana University.One of Dr. Eisan’s personal heroes” from history is LordAlthrop. He led the House of Commons even though he was not a good public speaker. Dr. Eisan did his doctoralto cover systematically every topic, but select only certain topics for interest In the future Dr. Eisan would like theticular hobby of his.Plans for the future includeopportunity to take a smallgroup of students to IndianaUniversity to do research in the library.
