Representing 31% of Southern California, Nevada and Arizona. John Davis, head of the Davis Furniture Con, Was elected to membership on the board of di rectors of the National Retail Furniture Association at its re cent convention in Chicago, it was announced today by Jack Horner, manager of Long Beach Retailers, Associated, and secre tary of the jeral Retail Furniture Association. Director Davis is also a mem ber of the board of directors of Long Beach Retailers and_ past president of _the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce. He re turned to Long Beach from his eastern trip early this week. Other local furniture dealers at tending the Chicago meeting in cluded Leo Schultz, president of the local association, and Aaron Schultz, past president of the Long Beach group. Marking the opening of mar ket week, Jan. 24 to 28, the an nual dinner of the Southern Cali fornia furniture industry will be held in the Biltmore Bowl, Los Angeles. Monday evening, it was also announced today by Harner. A large delegation of local furni ture dealers is scheduled to at end. JOHN P. DAVIS
