I EMORY A. BENCINI FALLS IE ON SLEEPj Monday night at his home on sn North Main street Emory A. Bendi-ni, wed known and respected citizep died in his 54th year, from a severe; attack of erysipelas which broughjb on complications, hastening the end.Mr. Bencini has lived in HigH Point all of his life and for the pasi 36 years since he was a young man of 18, has he n with the Snow Lumber Co. as bookkeeper. He was an honest, upright citizen; a hard,, worker and had made good in a* business and financial way. Hej was rarely ever away from his post of duty and was considered one of the best office men anywhere.Surviviug are wife, three daugh ters Misses Margaret and Grace Ben-cini and Mrs. Dallas Zollicoffer; twoe THE LATE E. A. BENCINI #T -tsons, Robert and Banks Bencini, \ one sister Mrs. Lea Payne aud one .. brother Hal A. Bencini, all of Hign Point.Deceased was affiliated withthe First Presbyterian church and Rev. J. W. Goodman and Rev. E. L. Siler, former ^ pastors of the church here, had t charge of the funeral services which l | occurred in Gats wood cemetery. A 3 large number of friends of the family were present. The editor feels a ? j personal loss in the death of Mr. i I Bencini whom we always had a high , regard for and in business and social matters found him standing for . the “best thing” to do at all times.The factory shut down for the . funeral and the entire help both white and colored, to the number of some 200, attended in a body.The active pall bearers were:W. C. Idol, R. B. Terry, J. E. r Marsh, W. E. Herndon, A- S. Par-; kef, L. C. Sinclair, E. W. Freeze, J. T. Burrus, D. M. Pollock and F. N. Tate.
