Dodge, Jr., North Edgecomb, a sophomore at Col gate University, has been to membership in Kappa Rho, one of the college’s 13 national social fraternities. Dean Carl A. Kallgren said, in an nouncing the results of Fall rushing. The North Edgecomb man, son of Mr and Mrs. Leon A. Dodge, is among 186 men pledged to fraternities. Miss Barbara Sullivan, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie A. Sullivan, was at home over the weekend from Lewiston where she is training at the Central Maine General hospital. Mrs. Isabel Feruski of Bos ne has been a recent guest of Mrs. Gertrude Sortwell and Miss Frances at their home on Maine Clore Webb, librarian of Wis casset public library, was guest at the meeting on the Woman’s cub on Wednesday afternoon. Her award was sold Houses of Wis Sora and Mrs. Parker E. Ma rean left Monday for a stay of a week or more. Lieut. Fred Berry of Ports mouth, Va., was a recent visitor in town. Lt. Berry is a former Wiscasset boy, son of Arthur Berry and nephew of Mrs. Cora Brown. He is a member of Lin coln lodge of Masons and arrived in town Thursday evening in time to attend the installation of officers of that body. He ex pects to receive a medical dis charge from the Navy in about two months and would like to re turn to Wiscasset to live if he can find a place which he can buy. Miss Linda Hathorne of Wool wich is a guest at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wilmot W. Dodge and Mr. Dodge, Fort Hill street, for the remainder of the Winter. Pvt. Elliott Munsey has been passing a furlough with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Mun sey, Gardiner road. He has been stationed in Mississippi and has enlisted in the Army Air Corps for three years. Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Bailey have returned from Brockton, Mass., where they passed the holidays with relatives. Dana Gibson has returned from New York after a two weeks’ visit. Miss Billy Ingraham returned Friday from Jessup, Ga., where she has been employed since late Fall. Capt. James Ferguson and wife and Mrs. Ralph Harvey have returned from Georgia where they passed the holidays. Rev. and Mrs. Robert H. Heigham and daughter Beverly were in Boston for several days last week. The annual meeting of Wis casset Fire society was held Wednesday evening at the home of Harold A. Campbell, Main street, Mr. Campbell and Leslie A. Sullivan entertaining. Andrew Laine died suddenly at his home in West Anna Tues day evening, Dec. 31, at the age of 54 years. He had been in his usual health and on the day of his death had been working in the woods. Shortly after supper ,he dropped dead. Funeral serv ices were at his late home Fri day afternoon.
