Rev. Father Olynek officiated at the funeral service of Mrs. Mary Fomenko, aged 68, which was held at the Rossburn Greek Catholic Church on Tuesday mor ning, Feb. 27th. A large number of relatives, friends and neigh bors attended the service, all members of the family being home except one daughter, Mrs. Florence Litt. Interment was in the Greek Catholic Cemeter north of Rossburn. Following the ser vice, 42 relatives and friends at tended dinner. Mrs. Fomenko, the former Mary Shust, came to Canada along with other members of the family from Western Ukrainian in 1899, being among the first Ukrainian settlers arriving at Rossburn. She was later married to Mr. Dan Cameron, and of that mar riage there are four children— Mike Cameron, of Winnipeg, John Cameron of Rossburn and Archie and Rosie Cameron at home. She was predeceased by Mr. Cameron on January 6th, 1912. Of the second marriage there are three daughters, Mrs. Flor ence Litt, of Mitchell, Ont., Miss Jean Fomenko, of Toronto and Miss Nellie Fomenko at home. Mrs. Fomenko was predeceased by her second husband on June 21st, 1939. The late Mrs. Fomenko is also survived by twelve grandchild ren, and two brothers and five sisters, Mr. Steve Shust, of Ross burn, Mr. Mike Shust, of Shoal Lake, Mrs. P. Propko of Detroit, Mrs. M. Propko of Elkhorn, Mrs. M. Tysarski of Grandview, Mrs. M. Kostesky of Rossburn and Mrs. W. Herchak of Shoals Lake. The deceased had been in fail ing health for the past two years and had been confined to bed at the home of her sister, Mrs. Kos tesky, for the past six weeks. She passed away at the Rossburn hos pital on Saturday evening, Feb 24th. Several wreaths were sent by sisters and brothers and other members of the family.
